The exhibition of art works by artist Ray Piscopo from Malta was inaugurated on Saturday, 15 October 2016. This exhibition entitled “Painting Hope” is the first personal exhibition in Italy by the renowned Maltese artist. The paintings consist of a “selection of abstracted realism works which in essence are a mixture of realistic subjects with abstractions”, as the artist himself has explained during the inauguration in our hotel.
Piscopo, an engineer by profession, has been involved in art since the early 70’s, and has also exhibited outside Malta inkling the 2016 New York Art Expo. He is showing 24 large format paintings in acrylics on canvas, where he tackled a variety of subjects, from nature to sacred art, from mythology to portraiture of casual encounters; 24 paintings set up near the Conference Hall and the adjacent areas.
The inauguration was attended by local authorities, including the Mayor of Cornegliano Laudense (LO) and municipal councillors.
We thank all those who participated in the inauguration and those who are visiting the exhibition, the viewing of which has been extended till end of December.
We are proud to host an artist of such great talent and quality!
